Axial fan for UltiMaker 3 and S series with the capacitive sensor (S3 and S5).
The axial fan is the front fan in the print head. It cools the print cores during printing and ensures that the heat stays contained in the nozzle and heater block, and does not travel too far upward. If this fan is not functioning, this can lead to extrusion problems and filament jams.
Tip: If the fan is taking in air from the front, it is prone to take in filament strands, which can cause the fan blades to get blocked. Reverse the fan orientation for an inside-out airflow to increase the fan's lifespan.
This SKU contains a single fan. The fans are also available as a pack of 10 (81-227102).
